Afasie Vereniging Nederland

Afasiecentrum Rotterdam e.o.

The Afasie Vereniging Nederland is a national non-profit organisation whose members are people with acquired aphasia, their partners and family members and some professionals that work with these patients. Since 2002 the Dutch National Aphasia Association works closely together with the Aphasia Centre Rotterdam to achieve our goal: to have aphasia centres in every region in our country. At this moment there are four centres in the Netherlands, but we are helping other organisations to get centres started in other regions. We organise national education days at least twice a year, to inform, stimulate and teach speech- and occupational therapists about the latest developments in this area. We also educate volunteers and people with aphasia on this subject .
